These pages cover two very different climbing areas both in location and climbing style
Largely undiscovered this area centred on the oil capital of Norway Stavanger, offers a range of climbing experiences ranging from bouldering through to big wall climbs.
A guide prepared by the local climbing club BRV( Bratte Rogalands Venner) is now in it's second edition - the guide is in Norwegian - the purpose of these pages is to give a brief overview of the area and explain the locations of the crags and give access information
The small Limestone Quarries which lie on the Carboniferous Limestone ridge which girdles the northern edge of the Lake District offer short medium grade outcrop climbing - ideal for days when the traditional climbing in the Lakes is out of condition or an evenings entertainment.
I have chosen the two quarries I am most familiar with, although other worthy Limestone outcrops and quarries exist in the North Cumbria
